Let me go on record as saying: FALL SUCKS

Wow. Did I really have puppy love for fall all these years? Ugh, my mind has done a complete 360, a second 360, a 180, a 90, a 45, a second 45, and another 180. (do the math) Autumn is horrible. The cold has gone from being a gentle reminder of things to come to an assaulting force that seeps into every crack of my uninsulated apartment. Sure, the trees make a pretty lightshow, but that's because they're pretty much the only light around right now: seriously, the light is dimmer, thinner, strained, and thanks to my lovely recent eye problems, I cannot leave my apartment after 5:30. I also can't read small type in any light, so there's that.

Being cooped up in the dark and the cold is friggin' depressing. I feel like a bird with clipped wings. Or ... a squirrel ... with a ... clipped tail? Okay, that analogy doesn't play through.

Here's to spring!

i like autumn, even in MS which gives me a much needed relief from the humdity. But i miss all the colors and that cripsyness in the air that i can only get in New England. Granted, winter in New England lasts too long and we get sick of all the snow and ice and everything. But it makes us appreciate all the other seasons when they finally arrive. We dont get much of the seasons here in MS, we get summer FULL FORCE and a mix of early spring, late fall.
I'm sorry that your recent eye problems make things worse for you. I hope they get better. But please dont take fall, or any season for granted. If you do, i will have to torture you! Muahahahahahaha

I'm not taking anything for granted, but here is where things stand:

SUMMER: SUCKS.

FALL: SUCKS.

WINTER: SUCKS.

SPRING: AWESOME.

Any questions? ;)

Poor Mike.

:( I think once you get your vision repaired you'll be in better spirits...

But /really/ I think it simply indicates that you need to move to a milder state. For instance, today in PDX:
Sunny, 62ο
Wind: SW at 3 mph
Humidity: 58%

Just sayin'.
